Key figures
| Value | Year | |
|---|---|---|
| Latest | 333 | 2024 |
| Highest | 2,363 | 2004 |
| Lowest | 269 | 2023 |
| Average since 2018 | 396.5 | 2018–2024 |
| First recorded | 2,363 | 2004 |
Since 2004 it is down 85.91% from 2,363 in 2004 (9.33% a year on average, compounded). The World Bank has no value for 7 of the years in between; the chart leaves those gaps open rather than joining across them.
What the numbers say
In 2024, Slovenia's industrial design applications, nonresident, by count rose 23.8% on 2023 (from 269 to 333).
Across the 10 yearly changes before that (2005 to 2023), the average change was −17.5% and a typical year strayed about 28.5% from that (the standard deviation). What this measures
Industrial design applications are applications to register an industrial design with a national or regional Intellectual Property (IP) offices and designations received by relevant offices through the Hague System. Non-resident application refers to an application filed with the IP office of or acting on behalf of a state or jurisdiction in which the first-named applicant in the application is not domiciled. Design count is used to render application data for industrial applications across offices comparable, as some offices follow a single-class/single-design filing system while other have a multiple class/design filing system.
Limitations: Data are based on information supplied to World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) by IP offices in annual surveys, supplemented by data in national IP office reports. Data may be missing for some offices or periods.
Regional and income-group figures are computed by the World Bank as a sum.
