What the numbers say
In 2025, Peru's net primary income (net income from abroad) (current LCU) fell 17.38 billion on 2024 (from -63.57 billion to -80.95 billion).
Across the 30 yearly changes before that (1995 to 2024), the average change was −1.99 billion and a typical year strayed about 10.21 billion from that (the standard deviation). This year's change was 1.5 standard deviations below that average, so it was larger than a typical year, though not out of the range seen before.
On record, the biggest yearly rise was 10.68 billion in 2023 and the biggest yearly fall was 49.18 billion in 2021. The numbers show how large and when, not why; for the cause, look at what happened in that country in those years.
From 2016 to 2025 the straight-line trend is downward, about 5.79 billion a year. A straight line explains 67% of the movement over 10 observed years.

What this measures
Net primary income includes the net labor income and net property and entrepreneurial income components of the SNA. Labor income covers compensation of employees paid to nonresident workers. Property and entrepreneurial income covers investment income from the ownership of foreign financial claims (interest, dividends, rent, etc.) and nonfinancial property income (patents, copyrights, etc.). This indicator is expressed in current prices, meaning no adjustment has been made to account for price changes over time. This series is expressed in local currency units.
