Grenada's renewable internal freshwater resources per capita (cubic meters) was 1,711 in 2022, the latest year in the World Bank's World Development Indicators. That is down 3.54% from 1,773 in 2012 (0.36% a year on average, compounded).

What the numbers say
In 2022, Grenada's renewable internal freshwater resources per capita (cubic meters) fell 3.3 on 2021 (from 1,714 to 1,711).
Across the 30 yearly changes before that (1992 to 2021), the average change was −9.01 and a typical year strayed about 3.59 from that (the standard deviation). This year's change was 1.6 standard deviations above that average, so it was larger than a typical year, though not out of the range seen before.
On record, the biggest yearly rise was 21.09 in 1980 and the biggest yearly fall was 17.51 in 1963. The numbers show how large and when, not why; for the cause, look at what happened in that country in those years.
From 2013 to 2022 the straight-line trend is downward, about 5.46 a year. A straight line explains 98% of the movement over 10 observed years.

What this measures
Renewable internal freshwater resources flows refer to internal renewable resources (internal river flows and groundwater from rainfall) in the country. Renewable internal freshwater resources per capita are calculated using the World Bank's population estimates.
Limitations: A common perception is that most of the available freshwater resources are visible (on the surfaces of lakes, reservoirs and rivers). However, this visible water represents only a tiny fraction of global freshwater resources, as most of it is stored in aquifers, with the largest stocks stored in solid form in the Antarctic and in Greenland's ice cap. The data on freshwater resources are based on estimates of runoff into rivers and recharge of groundwater. These estimates are based on different sources and refer to different years, so cross-country comparisons should be made with caution.
Regional and income-group figures are computed by the World Bank as a weighted average.
