What the numbers say
In 2024, Bolivia's tuberculosis case detection rate (%, all forms) fell 6 percentage points on 2023 (from 72% to 66%).
Across the 23 yearly changes before that (2001 to 2023), the average change was +1.87 percentage points and a typical year strayed about 3.86 percentage points from that (the standard deviation). This year's change was 2.0 standard deviations below that average, so it was unusually large compared with the rest of the record.
On record, the biggest yearly rise was 8 percentage points in 2021 and the biggest yearly fall was 13 percentage points in 2020. The numbers show how large and when, not why; for the cause, look at what happened in that country in those years.
From 2015 to 2024 there is no clear straight-line trend: a straight line explains 23% of the movement over 10 observed years, so the value is moving around more than it is heading anywhere.

What this measures
Tuberculosis case detection rate (all forms) is the number of new and relapse tuberculosis cases notified to WHO in a given year, divided by WHO's estimate of the number of incident tuberculosis cases for the same year, expressed as a percentage. Estimates for all years are recalculated as new information becomes available and techniques are refined, so they may differ from those published previously.
Regional and income-group figures are computed by the World Bank as a weighted average.
